J N TATA ENDOWMENT LOAN SCHOLARSHIPS 2010-2011

For:

Higher studies abroad in all disciplines and subjects irrespective of course duration. The endowment awards only loan scholarships. However, the selected scholars may also qualify for a gift award. The amount to be awarded to each scholar by way of loan and gift scholarship ranges from Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs eight lakh. Further details on www.dorabjitrust.org 

Who can apply


Indian nationals who are graduates from a recognised Indian university with consistently good academic record or students in the final year of the degree course or mid-career professionals planning to go abroad for further research, specialisation or training. At the time of submitting the completed applications, candidates need not have the admission/ offer letters from the universities to which they have applied for the academic year 2010-11

Available from the Administrative Office of the Endowment at Mulla House, 51 M G Road, Fort, Mumbai 400 001 against Rs 100 in cash or by money order on which the full name and address is to be mentioned.

Deadline:


February 15, 2010 (form issue)/ March 1, 2010 (submission at Endowment Office).

PRIME MINISTERS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME


For:

Pursuing professional degree programmes duly recognised by the respective govt regulatory bodies such as MCI, AICTE, UGC, etc. The amount of scholarship will be Rs 1250 per month for boys and Rs 1500 per month for girls, to be paid annually.

Who can apply


Dependent wards/ widows of exservicemen pursuing professional degrees recognised by the govt regulatory bodies mentioned above.

Download from www.mod.nic.in and click on Prime Ministers Scholarship Scheme or go to http:// mod.nic.in/welfareschemes/welcome.html. Fill up and submit to the respective Rajya Sainik Boards in person or by post along with DD for Rs 30 in favour of Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board payable at New Delhi.
