Nirma fest - Budding managers talk global warming
Ahmedabad: Young minds from B-schools representing countries from across the globe deliberated on impending danger of global warming and came up with futuristic plans to battle it.
The two-day annual academic fest, Perspective , at Institute of Management, Nirma University (IMNU) Ahmedabad, recreated recently held Copenhagen summit.
The event was themed on global climate change.
Explaining the event, Tanvi Dhamija of media committee, IMNU, said, The teams represented countries that actually took part in the summit. They had to formulate a stand based on the country they were from and debate on it.
The aim was to prepare a proposal, based on consensus that would mitigate the effects of climate change. she added. The event tested students on their knowledge of emerging trends in climate change debate.
In another marketing contest Bizzart, participants had to formulate a marketing plan for organic coffee. Dhamija said, The contest was based on our theme of going green, as organic food products are being accepted all over the world as better for the soil and the environment.
Perspective is an annual event of IMNU and sees participation from Bschools like IIMs, NITIE, NMIMS, JBIMS, FMS, IIFT, KJ Soumaiya Institutes, among others.
