IIM-A tweaks placement process for recruiters
Ahmedabad: The placement process at Indian Institute of Management,Ahmedabad (IIM-A ) will now not be a weekend affair.Rather than conducting the process over Saturdays and Sundays as was decided when the cohortbased placement process was put in place,the recruiters have now been invited on Fridays and Saturdays.
The suggestion for alteration in the new system of placement,said sources,came from the recruiters.In the second cluster that was hosted,included five cohorts making around 50 offers.
The companies that visited the campus included Indian investment banks,corporate leadership program and global FMCGs.There were around 15 recruiters that were on campus during these two days.
Among the recruiters were Deloitte that offered consulting roles,Tata Administrative Services and Feedback Ventures offering general management and consulting roles,Hindustan Unilever,Procter & Gamble,American Express,Standard Chartered and Nestle.
The process has been moved to Friday for the convenience of the recruiters, said Himanshu Nema,the student placement co-ordinator of IIM-A.
