IIM-As marketing fair to get bigger, grander
Two-Day Fair Will Begin From October 2
Ahmedabad: Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabads annual connect initiative Insight will be held for two days on October 2 and 3 this year. One of the oldest events at the IIM-A, the consumer research fair will see the 24th annual celebration with a number of initiatives ranging from management games to seminars on better governance. It is one of the chances where the general public can visit the campus and take part in a number of activities.
While it gives a rare insight into the minds of the customers for us, it is a fun event for the Amdavadis who can come and participate in a number of events lined up by the students. While some of the teams have already been made for the event, others are in the process. This year, a big draw will be strategy games by Dare2Compete. We will have six teams in final comprising of four members for the event. They will be given the administrative rights of the website and will be asked to devise the best strategy. It will be a real time event and participation has started pouring in, said Pankaj Singh, secretary for Insight 2010.
Other events include a workshop by Nielsen, a leading marketing research firm, on the first day. A seminar on market research for Public Sector Units (PSUs) will also be conducted by experts. Bone of Contention, first of its kind pan-India debate on unique marketing topic has been organised this year. The second day will be consumer research fair and open for public where they can visit the projects and participate. According to organisers, the entire events report is presented to various B-schools as handson experiences of marketing connect and research.
