Admissions to MBA extended to Sept 25
Mumbai: The Common Entrance Test (CET) for MBA admissions and almost four rounds of the common admission process (CAP) are over, yet close to 8,643 MBA seats is still lying unfilled all over Maharashtra. This has prompted the state government to allow even those graduates from any faculty who haven’t taken the CET, to vie for these seats.
The admission process, too, has been extended till September 25 for students seeking to pursue an MBA degree.
These vacant seats automatically get converted under the institutional quota. The directorate of technical education has already issued a notification in this regard.
Even then, the first preference will still be given to students who pass CET. Second preference will be given to students who have appeared for an entrance test conducted by individual institutions, and the third preference will be given to students without a CET result, said S Mahajan, director of higher and technical education.
