Introduction
An initiative by the alumni of IIM Ahmedabad, FOSTIIMA
Business School was set up in April 2007 to provide a
world class Business School ambience on a not-for-profit
model. Since its inception FOSTIIMA has grown to be recognized
for its QUALITY offerings to a deserving student cohort
and is continuously upgrading its vigorous skill-intensive
curriculum focused on unique needs of specific industry
segments. |
FOSTIIMA Business School has been conceived, funded and managed
by the friends and the alumni of IIM, Ahmedabad. It is located
in a modern air-conditioned building with latest multimedia
and instructional technology in the very centre of the National
Capital, in South Extension. Some 35 faculty from IIM’s
are associated in admin, teaching and placement.
LOCATION
Delhi and its environs comprise the vital link of the Information
Technology enabled Services Sector which is now being metamorphosed
into a Knowledge Processing Hub with a limitless demand for
business graduates. Delhi has over a dozen universities and
myriad institutions of higher learning and research. Multiplexes,
multi-cuisine food courts, stadia, shopping malls, and an ever
expanding world class metro system make for a comprehensively
modern lifestyle.
PLACEMENTS
All Final Year students have been placed with renowned Corporates
and MNC’s. The highest CTC was Rs 11.75 lacs per annum
while the average CTC was Rs 4.4 lacs per annum. All first year
students did their Summer Internships with stipends as high
as Rs 18,000 per month while the average stipend was Rs 10,000.
FOSTIIMA endeavors to make classroom learning an enjoyable experience
for the students packed with indoor and outdoor para-academic
and non-academic co- curricular activities. Students have access
to sports facilities, instructional training and cultural clubs.
Student participation in Committees like Placement, Hostel &
Mess, Library, Event Management, Alumni Affairs, and Cultural
& IT Committee is encouraged.
FACULTY
Almost the entire core, visiting and guest faculty at FOSTIIMA
are IIM graduates. Most of them have spent several years in
the corporate world holding diverse portfolios and responsibilities.
They share their rich, practical experience with FOSTIIMA students.
Thus, a FOSTIIMA class is a unique mixture of theory an ‘experiential
learning’, a methodology adopted by the best B-Schools
in the world like Harvard, Stanford and the IIMs.
CURRICULUM AT FOSTIIMA
Management education at FOSTIIMA focuses on teaching key business
concepts while simultaneously developing the analytical skills
of the students. It is therefore imperative that the FOSTIIMA
course curriculum be contemporary. Accordingly, FOSTIIMA curriculum
has been designed after receiving inputs from eminent academicians,
industry experts and leading global B-Schools. Care has been
exercised to encapsulate knowledge inputs in all new and emerging
areas in the current global economic scenario. The curriculum
is reviewed periodically so that it maintains its cutting edge
relevance to the industry.
In a NUTSHELL the core STRENGTHS of FOSTIIMA are

staying prowess and also an understanding of the ongoing transformation
of the ballooning services sector.
