Course Description
At ISBF, the PGDF is the first of its kind in India as it offers
two specialization options – wealth management and investment
management. The wealth management track covers the curriculum
of the internationally recognized Certified Financial Planning
(CFP) and Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA) Level 1 programmes.
The investment management track covers major elements of CFA
Level 1 and 2 programmes. Both tracks equip ISBF students with
necessary knowledge and skills to work across the entire landscape
of the fast growing financial sector.
The one year programme is structured into 15 modules over three
terms. Term I lays a solid foundation through financial economics,
accounting, capital markets, financial analysis and corporate
finance. Drawing upon this foundation, students then move to
their chosen area of specialization in Term II – Wealth
Management and Investment Management. Students are required
to successfully complete each module and a research project
for the award of the Post graduate Diploma in Finance.
Eligibility
Graduates or final year students from any discipline are encouraged
to apply. An essential requirement for a candidate is to have
a keen interest in applied finance and a desire to embark upon
a career in financial services.
Candidates seeking admission should have good comunication skills,
an ability to absorb new ideas quickly and a willingness to
work hard. We do not assume prior knowledge of accounting, economics
and finance but strong quantitative skills would be an added
advantage.
Admission Procedure
The admission procedure comprises an admission test followed
by personal interviews of selected candidates. Scores of CAT,
MAT, XAT and GMAT are accepted and students with valid scores
of these exams are exempted from our entrance test.
