Introduction
Sinhgad Institute of Management has set a precedence with its excellent academic track record and unique teaching learning process. SIOM was established in the year 1994 with the MBA Programme. Now it has added six more courses to its repertoire. |
Sinhgad's approach to instruction is innovative and
comprises a blend of lectures and interactive sessions
in which case studies, simulations, management games
and real life business situations are analysed and interpreted
. Each method is oriented towards achieving the objective
of the course and to develop students as fit product
for the industry. The objectives and goals of each programme
are as follows.
- To encourage students to analyse, interpret and
evaluate business problems/situations.
- To provide basic analytical tools required by managers,
including fundamental concepts and principles from various
functional areas.
- To develop skills in using these tools in an imaginative,
problem solving capacity.
- To create the ability to make and carry out decisions.
- To develop basis for dealing effectively with others,
both in written and ora communications.
- To encourage continuous learning from experience.
To ensure all round development of the students we
have a continuous evaluation process in place. Beside
academic reinforcement, we encourage students to contribute
the fruits of their scholastic and creative endeavours
to the college magazine IMPACT which is an appropriate
platform to give vent to their innovative thoughts.
Another platform which enhances the students' managerial
ability is the annual Inter B- School Mega Fest SPECTRUM,
where the students present their organising and event
management skills.
Courses Offered
Masters of Business Administration
Two Year Full Time Programme with 180 seats is approved
by AICTE & affiliated to University of Pune Accredited
by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.
Student can choose any one of the following functional
areas of management
- Marketing Management
- Financial Management
- Computer Management
- Production & Materials Management
- Human Resource Management
Eligibilty
Candidate should have passed with min. 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of backward class candidates from Maharashtra State only) in any bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by association of Indian Universities.
Admission Process
Candidate must have appeared for CET conducted by the DTE, MS and (for OMS Candidates any qualifying examination as CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, JMET) also for Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by a competent authority.
Indicative Course Fee: Total Rs. 65,000/- p.a. (Subjected to change from time to time as per the directives issued by the competent authority.)
Masters of Marketing Management
Two Year Full Time Programme with 60 seats.
Affiliated to University of Pune & Approved by
Govt. of Maharashtra.
Eligibilty
A candidate must have passed the graduation examination
from a recognized university.
Admission Process
Selection on the basis of entrance test conducted
by the institute / if candidate has appeared for any
other test such as CMAT, ATMA, CAT, MAT etc.
