TASMAC – Pioneers of India’s British Collaboration in Higher Education

Introduction

TASMAC has a large education network in India with campuses in Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata which offer the Global Programme in Business Leadership Progressing to an MBA from University of Wales, UK. With 18 years of experience in the field of management education in India, TASMAC has established its reputation over the years for setting the highest standards in International Education and is considered a pioneer of British Management education in India.

At the time of its inception (1991), TASMAC recognised that the changing business environment presented its potential students with exciting challenges and opportunities that were not only local but also global in nature. British Management Education has had a long tradition of creating a holistic environment (curriculum, pedagogy etc) that supported ‘Globalization’ – the merger of global best practices with local needs. Accordingly TASMAC pioneered British Management education in India through a successful collaboration with a British University and is today perhaps the most successful Indian institution that works in partnership with a British University in offering British qualifications in India.

Today, TASMAC’s state of the art campuses at Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata create hundreds of world class managers who are ready to make a meaningful difference to society as part of the global talent pool. There is a constant emphasis on excellence in curriculum, academic input, pedagogy, student care, infrastructure, industry interaction, alumni interaction and campus placements. This integration offers the most pragmatic mix of the most advanced business education possible.

An innovative and extensive curriculum, a faculty of committed teachers and scholars, modern campuses with well equipped facilities and an ongoing input from the corporate community combine to position students for success in today's global marketplace. All of this has lead to a reputation that’s second to none. Business India, India’s leading mainline business publication has ranked TASMAC as an A+ institution (best-in-class) for five consecutive years 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

In its journey TASMAC has always raised the standard on quality delivery which has lead the B-School to being accredited and recognised by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education or BAC (the first institute outside of Europe and the only one in India to receive this accreditation). It is also World’s first ISO 9001:2008 certified training/ educational organisation and India’s first ISO 9001:2008 certified organisation.

TASMAC is also the only Indian Institute to have a campus in London. TASMAC London, a wholly owned UK subsidiary of TASMAC India, is the First Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from India to UK, and vice versa, in the education sector. Established in October 2008, TASMAC London aims to become a premiere global centre imparting British Management Education through its MBA and the BA (Hons) in Business Administration courses validated by the University of Wales. TASMAC London – School of Business (London – Global World City) represents the most ambitious step taken not only by TASMAC but by any entity in the education sector in India and UK.
